Elders

Chris and his wife, Katie, have attended Barabbas Road Church since 2012 and have two daughters, Isla and Gwendolyn. Chris grew up ministering through music with his family, traveling the country and singing in churches each summer from ages 8 to 19. He later earned a degree in music composition and has experience as a choral and instrumental arranger. Outside of BRC, Chris is a full-time entrepreneur and business owner. Katie studied vocal performance in college and has several years of experience directing children's choirs. Together, they have been grateful to watch God grow and strengthen Barabbas Road through the faithful preaching of His Word, and Chris is honored to serve the church as Director of Music.

Paige has been married to her husband Brandon for 26 years, and together they have three children and a granddaughter. She works alongside Brandon in their family electrical contracting business and has served in women’s ministry and church leadership for over 20 years. Paige is passionate about encouraging meaningful relationships in the body of Christ. She jokes that she is the self-proclaimed “Hospitality Director” — so it is an honor for her to receive the official title.

Kendra grew up in San Diego. As a young adult she went to live in South America, and then stayed 16 years. There she met and married Luis, and together they served in church planting in rural Paraguay. For some of this time, she worked as the Co-Director of an orphanage where God molded her heart to care for children. Now Kendra and Luis, along with their two daughters, Jeruti and Sage, are living back in San Diego. When Kendra isn't teaching her girls at home, she's usually reading a book or taking strolls in nature.

Carolyn is a California native who grew up in Stockton and went on to study literature at UC Santa Cruz. She is married to Clint and is mom to Harrison and Marian. She received her biblical counseling certification through ACBC in 2024 and enjoys serving alongside the body of Christ and encouraging other women in their own walk with the Lord. When she isn't homeschooling or spending time with her family, she can usually be found reading, writing, making bad art, or swimming at the beach.

James grew up in San Diego and has attended Barabbas Road Church with his family since 2021. He is married to his wife Isabel, and together they have three daughters, Effie, Eleanor, and Evelyn. Outside of BRC, James is a small business owner in San Diego. James is grateful to serve the church by helping the preaching of God's Word reach people beyond the room on Sunday morning.

Bryant has been born and raised in the Clairemont area of San Diego. He has served in churches since he was 8 years old helping out in the hearing of the Word as a sound technician. If he is not serving in the church or working his job as a commercial electrician, he can be found listening to or reading books, being in the community of the church family, or strolling the lanes of Costco.
